Privacy Policy

What is stored on your device

• Your drafts: saved automatically in this browser (IndexedDB) so a crash or an accidental close can be recovered; this local draft itself is not uploaded (cloud saving after sign-in is covered below).
• A visitor ID: a randomly generated token kept in your browser (local storage and a cookie) so that TutuAgent can recognise you as the same visitor and count your daily free cloud AI credits. It contains no name, email or phone number.
• Interface preferences: language, light/dark theme and similar settings.
• Device record IDs: two random IDs kept in your browser's local storage so the image-opening records from the same device can be grouped together, plus a switch that remembers whether you turned reporting off. While an image is being opened, a temporary progress note is also kept (it includes the file name, stays on this device and is deleted once opening finishes). None of this contains your name, email or other personal details; clearing the site data deletes it.

What leaves your device

• Local tools (compress, crop, cutout, filters, format conversion, PSD read/write and so on): processing happens in your browser and no image is uploaded while processing (AI cutout downloads a model the first time — the model comes down, your image doesn't go up); for cloud saving of editor projects after sign-in, see below.
• Cloud AI: 10 actions send the layer you selected for processing (Old Photo Restore, AI Colorize, Replace background, ID Photo, Upscale, Beautify, Decorate, De-age, Split into editable layers, Edit text in image), and in the AI panel each of their action cards carries a cloud icon next to the title. On the two landing pages «Image to Layered PSD» and «Edit Text in Image», dropping in an image or clicking a sample hands it straight to the AI with the matching action, and the entry point states that this step sends it to the cloud. Making an image with AI sends only the text you write — but once the canvas already has content, the AI assistant sends the model a small thumbnail whenever it looks at the canvas. Two more entry points are not action cards: “✨ Change this to…” on a selection (AI local edit) sends the area you circled, and “Sketch to Photo” sends the sketch; both put the result back on the canvas as a new layer. When you mark several spots on the image and generate them in one go, what's sent is the block that contains those spots (close to the whole image if they're far apart).
• Projects after you sign in: while signed in, your work in the editor is saved automatically to your own cloud projects (about 1.5 seconds after a change) so you can continue on another device; nothing is uploaded while you're signed out. The editor embedded in other websites does no cloud saving. When you sign in and let the AI carry on in the cloud after closing the page, it works on this cloud copy.
• Visit statistics: which page you opened and where you came from (plus your TutuID if you're signed in), so we know which features get used. No cookies are set and no images are recorded.
• Device records when opening and exporting images: when you open or paste an image or PSD in the editor (successful or not), we record the image's dimensions, size, format (when available) and the outcome; when an export succeeds we also record one entry (the exported width, height and file size), and when an export fails because the device can't handle it, one more (the exported width and height); the site can switch off the successful entries (both opening and exporting) in its admin settings, and they are on by default. Each entry carries your browser and OS version, memory (device memory and the browser's script memory limit), CPU cores, graphics chip, screen, network type and how long the processing took (the entry for opening also includes the storage quota the browser grants this site), plus two random IDs from this device, a session ID that changes on every reload and the IP address the request came from; entries for failures also include the step the processing stopped at and how far it had got, the error message the browser gave (with file paths removed) and the option you chose in the error window. While you're signed out no account is attached, and once you sign in the entry is linked to your account. We use this to learn how large an image each kind of device can handle. File names and image content are never recorded; the switch to turn this off is in the window that appears when processing fails.
• The layer used by AI features that send an image: it is handed to TutuAgent as an attachment and saved in the uploads folder of that account's TutuDrive — when TutuDrive is available this site saves it there first; otherwise it goes out with the message and TutuAgent saves it on receipt. If you're not signed in, that account is a temporary visitor account TutuAgent creates for you. Files saved while you're signed in stay in your own drive, and you can delete them any time.

Who receives it

Cloud AI requests are passed by TutuAgent (the shared AI service of the Tutu Suite) to the model provider currently in use, and the result comes back to your canvas. This site builds no models of its own, never trains models on your images, and does not sell any data.

When a computer does the processing

• Requests are relayed to your computer by the Tutu platform with encryption: a fresh key for every connection and every frame encrypted.
• With idle GPUs across the network, the computer doing the work doesn't know who you are, and tasks sent by the platform aren't stored on that computer.
• With privacy mode on, AI processing happens only on your own computer, with no third-party models.
• When your computer helps others, they only use its compute power and can't reach your photos, files or chats.

How long it's kept

• Visitor AI conversations: cleared after 24 hours; conversations while signed in are kept until you delete them.
• Projects in the trash: permanently deleted after 30 days (by default).
• Project version history: the latest 20 versions of each project are kept.
• Temporary uploads that never became a saved project: cleaned up automatically after 30 minutes.

What you can do

• Clear this site's data in your browser to delete local drafts and the visitor ID.
• Delete projects in your library: they go to the trash first and are permanently deleted after 30 days (by default), or you can delete them immediately from the trash.
• To delete your account or export your data, email us.
