FAQ

Is it really free? Any hidden charges?

The local image tools are all free, usable through to a finished result, and exports carry no watermark. The cloud AI has free credits every day; when they run out, the assistant tells you directly. The other thing that costs money is ordering physical prints — having the finished piece shipped to you, which is buying an object rather than software. The local tools have no watermarked free tier and no paywall that appears on the Nth use.

Do I need an account?

Neither does. Local tools run in your own browser, and the cloud AI needs no sign-up either — photo restoration, colorization, background swap and the like run in the cloud (they send the layer you picked), one-sentence generation sends only the prompt, and there are free credits every day. An account is mainly for cloud projects: once you sign in, your work in the editor is saved automatically to your own cloud projects so you can continue on another machine; saving to TutuDrive and letting the AI carry on in the cloud after you close the page also need a sign-in.

Which features upload my images?

In three tiers. Sending your image are 10 features, all in the editor's AI panel: old-photo restoration, colorization, background swap, ID photo, upscale, beautify, decorate and de-age, plus Split into editable layers and Edit text in image — the cards with a cloud icon beside the title; ordering physical prints also sends the finished file to the lab, files saved to TutuDrive are uploaded to your own drive (when you're signed in and connected to it, batch export saves there by default), and once you sign in, your work in the editor is saved automatically to your own cloud projects. Using the network but not sending your original: AI text-to-image (only the prompt goes out; what comes back is a new picture) and the AI command box (when local matching misses, only the sentence you typed and the list of candidate tools go out so a model can pick one tool); the AI assistant also takes a canvas thumbnail when it looks at your picture. Everything else runs in your own browser — including the AI cutout, which is an in-browser model (downloaded once, about 100MB, the first time), so no image is uploaded while cutting out.

Is there a limit on how many files or how many times?

Locally processed tools carry no count limit we imposed. Batch processing takes any number of files and long images take any number of pieces; the collage page takes 1 to 6 images per row — for more columns, use the full editor's File > Automate > Collage Layout..., which sets no column limit. The real ceiling is your computer's memory and the browser's limit on canvas dimensions — set by the browser, not a guess we made about what your device can take.
