Local AI models: AI that runs on your own computer
Not just the cloud. Install TutuNode, no setup needed — cloud refusals, queues and used-up credits no longer interrupt you.
TutuEdit's AI uses top-tier cloud models by default. With TutuNode installed it gains another leg to stand on: your own computer. When a big provider's rules refuse a normal request, the cloud is queued or down, or today's credits are used up, the AI hands the work to your computer automatically — you don't have to click anything.
You can also choose “Computer first” or “Computer only (privacy)” so everything happens on your own computer. It's online 24/7 whenever your computer is on; when it isn't enough or is switched off, idle GPUs across the network and the cloud take over.
24/7 double backup: if one path is busy, it switches to another
- Cloud refusal, queue or used-up credits → your computer
- Your computer can't do it or is off → idle GPUs carry on (one switch to turn on)
- Nothing available right now → it queues and carries on as soon as your computer is online
You're in control: four ways to run
- Cloud first
Default. Cloud as usual; your computer takes over on refusals or when credits run out.
- Computer first
Everything your computer can do runs on it; the rest goes to the cloud.
- Computer only (privacy)
All AI processing happens on your computer, with no third-party models.
- Custom
Chat, images, speech, video… choose cloud or computer for each type.

Uses the computer you leave on at home
Once installed, TutuNode shows what your GPU and memory can do, task by task, and sets up the right models automatically.
Encrypted all the way — hand it to your computer with confidence
- Encrypted in transit, all the way
Browser to Tutu platform over HTTPS; platform to computer on a channel with a fresh key for every connection and every frame encrypted.
- No ports to open
Your computer connects out to the Tutu platform, so it works behind your home router and never exposes your home network address.
- Anonymous processing
With idle GPUs across the network, the computer helping you doesn't know who you are, and clears everything when done.
- Privacy mode
Turn it on to use only your own computer, with no third-party models.
You're in control: which computer, which model, and whether the result is good — all your call.

Never held back by the cloud
Cloud queue, outage or today's credits used up? That turn moves to your computer automatically.
24/7, double backup
Online whenever your computer is on; when it's off, the cloud and idle GPUs take over — nothing is lost, no need to ask again.
Ready out of the box
Download, double-click to install — it links to your Tutu account and sets up the right models by itself.
Free · no usage counting
Runs on your own computer, doesn't use your cloud credits, and never expires.
You're in control
Cloud first, computer first, computer only (privacy) or custom — switch any time.
Computer not enough? Borrow GPUs
When your computer can't do a task type or is switched off, idle GPUs across the network carry on — paid with points, one switch to turn on.
Earn points while idle
While you're away, your computer helps others compute; the points work across every Tutu app and pay for cloud AI.

FAQ
- How do local AI models differ from cloud AI?
- Cloud AI uses top-tier large models and comes with free daily credits; local models run on your own computer — free, no usage counting, no expiry. TutuEdit combines the two automatically, and you choose which comes first.
- When is my computer used?
- By default in three cases: a normal request refused by cloud rules (only that one is redone), the cloud queued or temporarily unavailable, and today's credits used up (that turn goes to your computer, then back to the cloud). You can also choose computer first, or computer only, in My devices.
- Do I need to set anything up?
- No. Download, double-click to install, and TutuNode links your account and prepares the models by itself. Want it online from boot? Turn on start-at-boot in TutuNode with one click.
- Can I use it from my phone?
- Yes. Install TutuNode on a computer, and requests from your phone can be handled by that computer at home; tap “Remind me on my computer” on your phone and you'll be reminded to install next time you open it on a computer.
- My computer can't do a task type, or it's switched off. What then?
- Turn on “Use idle GPUs across the network” in My devices: when your computer can't do it or is offline, someone's idle GPU carries on, paid with points, with a daily limit you set.
- Is it safe to hand work to a computer?
- Encrypted in transit all the way: your computer connects out to the Tutu platform with no ports to open, a fresh key for every connection and every frame encrypted. With idle GPUs it's fully anonymous and cleared when done; to use only your own computer, turn on privacy mode.
