Two separate jobs. For individual blemishes use the spot healing brush (shortcut J): click or drag over a spot and it blends surrounding skin in on its own — no sampling first. For overall smoothing use Surface Blur, radius 1–20 and threshold 2–255. It is not a plain blur but an edge-preserving bilateral filter: only neighbouring pixels whose difference is below the threshold get flattened, while anything with a bigger difference — eye contours, the hairline, the highlight on the bridge of the nose — stays as it was. The higher the threshold, the more gets judged "flatten this", and the smoother and faker it reads; starting from the default 25 and creeping up is the safe way. There is no one-click smoothing button here: two tools work together. Two extra steps, but blemishes and skin texture stay under separate control. It all runs in your own browser; the photo is never uploaded.

FAQ
- Will it turn the face plastic?
- It depends on the threshold. Surface Blur is a bilateral filter: only neighbouring pixels whose difference falls below the threshold get flattened, so eye contours, the hairline and the highlight on the nose stay put and pores survive. Raising the threshold above the default 25 makes it progressively smoother and faker — creep up in small steps.
- How do I remove a blemish?
